Patriot Wreath-Laying

Join us in honoring Boone County's Revolutionary War patriots through a series of wreath-laying ceremonies across the county.  These events are part of the America 250 initiative and commemorate the patriots whose service helped shape our nation.

Thorntown Heritage Museum and Sugar Creek Historical Society have partnered with Discover Boone County, the Daughters of the American Revolution James Hill Chapter, and Boone County Extension Homemakers to honor Boone County's twenty Revolutionary War patriots.

This April 14 wreath-laying will take place at noon and honor patriots buried at Mechanicsburg and Hopewell Cemeteries.  Participants may gather at noon at Hopewell Cemetery, located at the intersection of Elm Swamp Rd and State Rd 47.
